Villa Esmerald
Detached single-family home and swimming pool project
The house is located in Costa de la Calma, in the southwest of Mallorca, on a plot with a pronounced slope in relation to the street level. To address this condition, the main entrance is placed on the roof, allowing a natural descent through the home.
The design adapts to the terrain and opens up to the surroundings, creating a continuous connection between indoors and outdoors. The house is articulated around a unique and striking volume, defined by clean horizontal lines and large windows that flood the interior with light and frame views of the landscape.
A central double-height space visually connects the upper floor with the living room and the pool, reinforcing the relationship between the different levels and enhancing the sense of spaciousness. The service area is located at the rear, in contact with the terrain, which frees up the main floor for the bedrooms and living spaces, all open to the landscape.
The structure is resolved with reinforced concrete walls in a U-shape, containing the soil, together with two interior walls that divide the living areas and bedrooms.
Terraces and exterior platforms extend the main volume towards the garden, integrating with the natural slope of the plot.
