The Ocean Pearl
Detached single-family home and swimming pool project
Located in El Toro, in the southwest of Mallorca, this newly built single-family home adapts to the topography through a series of volumes that emerge from the terrain like large sculpted rocks. The use of Greek travertine and an opaque entrance door reinforce the sense of solidity, in contrast to an open and bright interior.
The project is organized around a vertical landscaped courtyard, which structures the layout and provides light to each floor. Inside, a sculptural piece of vegetation adds identity and visually connects the entire complex.
Large framed windows open the house to the landscape, and the outdoor spaces — terraces, pathways, and planters — extend the architecture into the surroundings. Natural materials — stone, wood, and glass — provide warmth and coherence.
Carefully selected Mediterranean vegetation acts as an integral element of the project, enhancing its integration with the site. The pool, a central feature of the project with glass enclosure, visually extends the home into the landscape, blending with the open sea views.
